Ai has very specific use cases but they want to market it to everyday people who don’t understand its limitations so they end up targeting people like this

Oh yeah I worded that badly. I meant that I myself am ok with it because I had early said I was not. Still should defer to sub mods when it comes to posting it publicly etc
Hey all I’ve got some basic automation set up so starting tomorrow a new DT will be automatically created and stickied every day and after an hour the previous DT will be locked.
No other automod features are currently active but will be coming.
Also I’m going to go ahead and say people are free to DM or post about here on the sub DT. See how the instance handles it.

Im currently testing/setting it up but hopefully in a few minutes well at least have an automod to create and lock dts every day
Unless im just missing the option in which case please let me know. I know nothing about lemmy I just set up the infrastructure
There doesn’t seem to be a mechanism to do so on the mods end. There is an option in your profile tho.

Yeah im not sure how much sense it makes to just have 2 subreddits coexisting at the same time. Like if enough people want me to keep this one up I will but unless theres like an actual official exodus im not sure its going to really catch on
Im kinda hesitant to do that. Id probably leave it up to the mods.
Im on browser rn but I mean like as a setting for the community or something. Like on reddit the dt is auto sorted by New for everyone. You cant seem to do that here. May be missing it tho
One annoying thing ive noticed is there does not appear to be a way to set a default sort for a community. You can however set a default from your profile but im not sure if that applies to comments
